King's XI Punjab - Indian Premier League

The Punjab/Mohali IPL team is owned by Bombay Dyeing, Appejay Group and Dabur. Punjab is known for its brave men and bhangra music, which is why we have Yuvraj Singh leading the side; he is the only cricketer who has the record of scoring six sixers in a Twenty 20 match. It will be a good chance for Yuvraj to lead a team.

The team is good, they have some match winners in their side like Brett Lee, Mahela Jayawardene, Kumara Sangakarra, Ramnaresh Sarwan and the skipper himself. All these guys are young and they all have the potential to beat any side in this form of the game.

Kings XI Punjab Team

King’s 11 Punjab has the right combination of batsmen, bowlers and allrounders. The new ball will be shared by the likes of Breet Lee and Sreesanth and they will be supported by Kyle Mills and Irfan Pathan. The spin department has variety in the form of Piyush Chawla, Romesh Powar and Simon Katich this team also has two very good all rounders Irfan Pathan and James Hopes, we have seen these two men in action and they will come in handy whenever you need some quick runs on the board.

The youngsters to watch out for are Shubham Bhaway and Ajitesh Argal both are from the Indian under 19 team. We can also look forward to Luke Pomersbach the australian Twenty 20 specialist player, he has had a good domestic season this year in Australia and he was also named as 2008 Bradman Young Player of the year.

Tom Moody the successful Australian cricketer is the coach of King’s 11 Punjab and he is considered as one of the best coaches around. Let’s talk about Yuvraj Singh, his leadership skills will be tested here as he will be competing against the likes of Sachin, Dravid Ganguly, Laxman, Sehwag, Warne and Dhoni. If his team wins this tournament, then he will be a serious contender for leading the Indian side and Dhoni will have some good competition.

As for the fans of this Punjabi cricketer they will only say “Chak De” Yuvraj.
